In my twenties I would occasionally come up with a crazy idea. Ideas that were crazy enough that my logical brain wouldn’t let me quit my job and pursue them, but not so crazy I could just let them go completely either. You could say these were ideas that were crazy like a fox, or ideas just crazy enough they just might work.
These were ideas like a company that made designer eye patches. This went as far as a prototype that was green, stretchy and included a bedazzled B on the patch. What can I say I was really into pirates, and thought there might be a market in the rap game.
They were ideas like opening a bar, where we have a giant sign over the bar that says we only serve Budweiser here, but the tap handles would be for a whole host of different micro brews. If somebody ordered one of these microbrews, we would serve them a Budweiser, charge them for the Microbrew, and ring a bell to tell the whole bar somebody just paid a stupid tax. This one just made me laugh, but I never forgot it.
I never forgot it because I let it live in the portion of my brain I call my Pipe Dream Garage. That’s what this site is, a place for me to write about and explore crazy ideas. Hopefully, we’ll all learn some stuff, share some laughs, and who knows, maybe we’ll witness the birth of the designer eye patch high fashion.
