Grinding the Grind

This section of the garage is brought to you today by the letter irony.  You see I kinda hate grinding.  Weirdly I’m at my best when I’m grinding, and I partially built this site as a way to encourage me to keep grinding away at a fledgling writing habit.

The fact is grinding is necessary.  Even my 10 year old gets this, as he attributes his ability to get by bosses in video games that his friends struggle with, to his willingness to find the bosses weakness and grind his way to victory.  

The problem is grinding doesn’t feel just necessary, it often feels like a necessary evil.  My theory for this is when this happens, instead of grinding your goals, projects and tasks down, you’re letting your goals, projects and tasks grind you down.  

In this part of the garage we’ll be looking at how to make the most of the grind both for yourself, and how you can help others make the most of theirs.
